Dual Hotel Project in Melbourne gets the Green Light

VICTORIA: Leading Melbourne property developer, Capital Alliance, is thrilled to announce the approval of the planning permit for its groundbreaking $340M dual hotel project in partnership with Australia's International Hotel Group, TFE Hotels.

The permit for the mixed-use lifestyle development at 28-38 Pearl River Road, in Melbourne's dynamic Docklands precinct, allows Capital Alliance to proceed with plans for a state-of-the-art 1000-pax capacity conference centre – one of the largest in Australia - and dual hotels featuring Australia’s largest rooftop infinity pool.

The $340M project, featuring the 200-room bespoke Collection by TFE Hotels brand and the premium 105-room A by Adina, stands as a testament to Capital Alliance’s determination to provide exceptional end-to-end experiences and an architectural legacy for Melbourne’s city skyline.

"In the face of the current economic uncertainty, we are thrilled to move into the next phase of this ambitious project," said Mohan Du, Founder and Chief Executive of Capital Alliance. "Pearl River is our last blank canvas for Docklands and as such represents a significant milestone, so we wanted to create something truly remarkable and, in collaboration with TFE Hotels, a precinct that fosters a work, rest, play lifestyle.”
“Importantly, this project also prioritises sustainability, world-class lifestyle amenities and provides a premium setting for large scale Melbourne events.”

A fact not lost on Melbourne Lord Mayor, Sally Capp.

“It’s no surprise Docklands attracts great modern commercial and residential developments, with waterfront views, easy access to the city, and an extensive list of shopping and dining options.,” she said. “The precinct’s popularity continues to grow, with night-time pedestrian activity at New Quay exceeding pre-pandemic levels throughout May.”

Among its extraordinary attributes, the project will proudly showcase the longest escalator in Australia. This immersive journey will transport visitors on a captivating ride, featuring the latest in visual projection technology. And, with its remarkable length, the escalator will stand as a centrepiece, enchanting guests and instilling a sense of awe and excitement as they ascend towards the conference centre.

“Just like the Pompidou Centre in Paris this enormous escalator runs up the side of the building and leads to a fabulous bar and function centre.  And just like at the Pompidou I am sure this new escalator will be renowned as one of the best rides in Melbourne,” said Deputy Lord Mayor, Nicholas Reece.

Capital Alliance has a proven track record of delivering landmark projects that redefine the urban landscape, and the Pearl River development is no exception. Construction is anticipated to commence in the first half of 2024.

Ends.
