TFE Hotels Drives Growth in Brisbane with New Opening, Rolling Refurbishment and Strong Leadership Line-Up

BRISBANE: As Brisbane continues to evolve into a world-class destination ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, TFE Hotels is reinforcing its commitment to the city’s growth through continued investment in its Adina network. The Australian hospitality group today confirmed February 2026 as the opening month for Adina Chermside Brisbane, announced key leadership appointments across its Brisbane hotels, and unveiled the results of a rolling refurbishment of Adina Apartment Hotel Brisbane Anzac Square - reflecting TFE’s ongoing dedication to enhancing the city’s accommodation landscape.

“From the CBD to Brisbane’s northern suburbs, our Adina hotels are evolving with the River City,” said TFE Hotels’ Group Chief Operating Officer, Chris Sedgwick. “Each project reflects TFE Hotels’ commitment to purposeful investment - driving strong momentum for the Adina brand into 2026 as we support Brisbane’s ongoing transformation.”

Adina Chermside will mark a major milestone for Brisbane’s thriving northern corridor, delivering a new generation of apartment-style accommodation for the area. The 148-key hotel, designed by award-winning sustainable design firm WMK Architecture, will feature a selection of studios and apartments alongside guest facilities such as St Marks Road Co. eatery, meeting rooms, a fully equipped gym, and on-site parking. A spacious lobby, contemporary interiors, and thoughtful amenities will reflect the Adina brand’s signature style - combining the freedom of apartment living with the services of a hotel.

Once open in February 2026, Adina Chermside will bring a new level of comfort and connectivity to Brisbane’s north, catering to corporate and leisure travellers, as well as extended-stay guests linked to the nearby Prince Charles Hospital precinct. The hotel boasts a prime location near Westfield Chermside and easy access to major transport links.

Experienced Leaders to Steer Adina Brisbane Hotels
Sue Rowe has been appointed as General Manager of Adina Chermside Brisbane and will lead the final stages of pre-opening, before focusing full-time on the launch of the property. A seasoned hospitality professional with more than 27 years’ experience at TFE Hotels, Sue has successfully managed several of the group’s Queensland properties, including Adina Anzac Square, and Rendezvous on George Brisbane. Her deep understanding of both the brand and the Brisbane market will be instrumental in bringing Adina Chermside to life.

In further leadership news for the region, Bri Hill has been appointed Cluster General Manager across Adina Brisbane and Adina Anzac Square in the CBD. Since joining TFE Hotels in 2018, Bri has established a strong reputation for operational excellence and innovation, guiding Adina Brisbane through major initiatives including a guest experience pilots, supporting a global brand repositioning project. Under her leadership, Adina Brisbane was awarded the 2024 Stronger Together Award for Apartment Style Hotel of the Year, while Bri herself earned regional recognition as both Outstanding & Inspiring Leader and Regional GM of the Year for Queensland and New Zealand.

An Uplift for Adina Anzac Square
Meanwhile, Adina Anzac Square in Brisbane’s CBD has completed a rolling refurbishment program, following a million-dollar-makeover a few years back. The transformation of public spaces including the reception area, library and communal workspace area, and accommodation floors further enhancing the guest experience.

This classic apartment-style hotel offers both heritage architecture and contemporary design, with dove greys and calming whites dominating the in-room colour scheme. Each of the 67 spacious studio, one- or two-bedroom apartments is equipped with all the amenities and features to help guests feel at home while they’re away.

Anzac Square and the adjoining building, including the Adina, constitute the most important Queensland example of the Anzac memorial movement. Inside, classic white wainscoting panelled headboards and cabinetry dominate whilst gold accessories add a bold flash to the colour scheme.
