Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay invites Sydneysiders to be a part of TEDxSydney 2017 from one of the city’s coolest lifestyle hotels on Friday 16 June. The exclusive and thought provoking TED talks will be live-streamed from the ICC Sydney in Darling Harbour to a viewing room in the hotel.
Limited tickets are available for the TEDx satellite event at Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay, where guests will gain a rare insight into the bold ideas of TEDxSydney’s full day of talks, as well as the opportunity to connect with other like-minded travellers from the local community.
This year’s TEDxSydney program features transformative talks from Peter Greste, jailed Australian Al-Jazeera journalist, and some of country’s finest musicians, along with a hand-picked selection of new Australian short films.
In line with the festival’s theme, the hotel will offer an ‘Unconventional’ lunch at the hotel’s new bar and dining space, Storehouse on the Park, with ‘creative’ juices spiked with ginkgo brahmi to stimulate stirring conversation and inspire original thinking.
The lunch will be hosted by guest speaker Tashi Dorjee from TwoSpace, a Sydney start-up that turns unused restaurant spaces into fun co-working spaces. Sydney locations include Havana Beach in Manly and Casoni Bar & Eatery in Darlinghurst.
The day will finish with Vibe Hotel’s Social Networking event, where attendees will be matched based on shared interests over a complimentary wine or beer.
Inspired by TEDxSydney’s ‘Fast Ideas’ competition, the networking session will see attendees elevator pitch ideas on improving the local community. The winner will receive a two night stay at Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay Sydney.
Lucky guests will have the chance to select either a full or half-day session. Split into morning or afternoon activities, each session will cost $10 with a limited offer of free tickets to the first 15 university students who apply.
