The opening of the first Adina Apartment Hotel in Berlin in 2007 was real pioneer work: Boarding houses were nothing new and neither were centrally located four-star hotels with conference facilities. The only thing that was missing on the German market was a successful combination of these two concepts. Good that there was already a hotel group which had established this mix in Australia and gained experience in Europe with two hotels in Copenhagen and Budapest: Toga Hospitality, today part of TFE Hotels and the “mother ship” of the Adina brand. The success proved that the Aussies were right. “The opening of the Adina Berlin Checkpoint Charlie was followed by two further hotels in Berlin-Mitte, one in downtown Frankfurt, one at St. Michael’s Church in Hamburg and, most recently, by two brand new Adinas in Nuremberg as well as in Frankfurt’s European Quarter,” said Georgios Ganitis, Regional General Manager Europe.
At the moment, the refurbishment of the new Adina Apartment Hotel Leipzig in the Brühlpelz Tower in the heart of Leipzig is steaming along at full speed ahead. Starting in the autumn 2017, 166 comfortable fully-equipped and sophisticatedly designed apartments will await the guests here. The gastronomical concept of the Alto Bar Restaurant, the 24-hour reception, the conference centre and the fitness area with pool and sauna will also be available in Leipzig. Besides the opening of a second Adina Hotel in Hamburg in 2018, Adina hotels in Munich (2019) as well as in Cologne and Freiburg (2020) will be added in the coming years.
