5 Things You Must Do At The Sydney Royal Easter Show

Sydney’s biggest and best Easter celebration is just around the corner, opening its gates from 3 - 14 April 2020. The show boasts everything from mouth-watering food to exhilarating rides and an adorable collection of animals. Read on for the 5 things you must do at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

1. Visit the animals

Your little ones will enjoy following the animal walk which takes you through the puppy competition and alpaca promenade. Be sure not to miss the pig competition as huge pigs are judged to find the Best Pig in Show.

2. Be entertained

There’s no shortage of live entertainment on offer with great Aussie traditions including the wood chopping competition and The Man from Snowy River spectacular, as well as less traditional fare like the chainsaw-juggling Space Cowboy.

3. Eat something sweet

Those with a sweet tooth will be all too happy to find the Nutella shot donuts at Sweet Treat and the Streets Ice Cream jumping castle where you can bump up next to a life-size Bubble O Bill and Golden Gaytime.

4. Watch the Grand Parade

This event has been on at the show since 1907! Learn about Australia's agriculture in the most spectacular way, as farm animals, producers and champion wood choppers make their way around the stadium.

5. Get the kids a showbag...or two

Ask any 5-12 year old what they're most excited about seeing at the Easter Show and we guarantee that they'll say the showbags of course! There are hundreds of showbags to choose from, ranging from $2 to $30. Whether your'e after an AFL themed bag or one stuffed with chocolate, you definitely won't go home disappointed.
